Central Service Assistant CS71
The Central Service Assistant Program is a certificate program offered by Columbus Technical College to maintain their service area partnerships. The purpose of this certificate is to prepare graduates entry role into the central sterile supply processing workforce. Within the workforce central service assistants are also known as medical equipment preparers. This program will prepare graduates to function in the sterile supply processing and distribution areas of various healthcare facilities as an effective and efficient member of the healthcare team. Under general supervision, with opportunity to make independent decisions, graduates of the program will be able to perform entry-level duties of personnel within the central supply procession department which could be but not limited to receiving, sorting, inspecting, cleaning, disinfecting, assembling, preparing sterilizing, storing and issuing disposable and don-disposable supplies, instruments, and equipment.
