The responsibility for identifying and locating an appropriate internship rests with students in conjunction with the department involved with the internship. Negotiations should begin during the pre-registration period. Students must confirm placement before the beginning of the semester, but no later than the end of the first week of the semester. The commitment is made firm at the time of placement so that internships may not ordinarily be dropped during the drop/add period. Adjustments to an internship or an internship schedule will be made during the drop/add period with the Dean’s approval.
